- People used portable hand fans made of bamboo.
- They collected ice during winter and stored them in underground cellars covered with reeds to be used in hot summers.
- Summer clothes meant breathable ones made of cotton or such natural fiber.
- They ate easy to digest fermented foods and stayed cool.
